We sit down and go over every part of the IEP so that families have a clear understanding of each section. We also make recommendations based on our conversations with families for additional services to be placed in the IEP.

We provide a variety of services aimed at supporting families with children in special education. For example, we can walk families through the referral process, interpret assessment results, review student behavior referrals and better prepare families as they prepare for initial and annual IEPs.

We also provide due process support as needed and have attorneys available to help families.

We can assist families to submit the paperwork needed so that a student can be formally evaluated for special education services.

We are also available to interpret the results of these evaluations and act as an advocate during IEP and assessment team meetings for families and their children.

We have been working in the field of special education for the past 20 years. We understand the process, the laws and the rights of families who have children with disabilities.

We can represent the interests of families during these hearings and make recommendations that are in the best interest of the family and the child.

Tutoring Services

Online tutoring is just as effective as face-to-face tutoring, but it is more flexible and less expensive. Students typically meet via Zoom or Google Meets for a 30 to 60 minute tutoring session.

To schedule an appointment with one of our highly trained professional tutors, simply call (949) 524-1558 or contact us by email to get started. We also are available to meet students face to face in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

All of our tutors are credentialed by the state of California as teachers. They meet or exceed the expectations of the state for teacher credentials in a variety of different content and credential areas, including single subject, multiple subject and education specialists. In addition to having a California teaching credential, all of our tutors have passed a livescan criminal background check.

Tutoring gives students individualized attention that they can’t get in a crowded classroom. Our goal is to help all children, from those who struggle to keep up, to those who want to get better grades and to those who simply aren’t challenged enough. Tutoring helps to keep students on track to achieve beyond the grade level expectations.

We help prepare students for all kinds of classroom based tests and quizzes, but we also help prepare students who are in the process of taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment, as well as the SAT and GRE. We also assist students who are in the process of applying to colleges and universities.

We offer guitar lessons, bass guitar lessons, pro-social skills training, game based learning, as well as a variety online activities for our students to remain engaged in. We also offer face to face enrichment of the same programs mentioned above.

Our tutors are trained to work with all children. Most of our tutors are also trained and certified education specialists and they understand how to provide students with appropriate scaffolds, differentiate, and employ the use of Universal Design for Learning so that all students can achieve at high levels.

All of our tutors are credentialed teachers and each understands the importance of focusing on the needs of each unique student. We typically start by interviewing students to identify their interests and background. Then, we administer baseline assessments and design an individualized intervention program designed to meet the unique needs of the individual student based on his her or interests. This helps maintain attention and also motivates students to complete assigned work and tasks.

Online instruction has been around for many years now. Some of the benefits of online learning are that instruction can be tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Furthermore, students can progress at their own pace and synchronous and asynchronous instruction is more flexible than rigid brick and mortar classrooms.

It depends on the specific skills that the student is trying to master. For example, if a student needs assistance to write a five paragraph essay, the student will typically need to create a thesis statement, then write an outline, then a draft of the paper, and then a final draft.

We help our students so that they have complete confidence in the final products that they turn in and such an approach typically requires meeting once or twice a week to ensure that our students are well prepared to complete any assignments, quizzes or tests.

There is currently no application fee or enrollment fee. Simply contact us to schedule a time to get started.
